Prior to the rise of cities, humans formed societies through the creation of robust social networks, with knowledge exchange serving as a pivotal component for establishing these societies which led to formation of cities. However, human’s protagonist role in this process is greatly influenced by cities’ acquisition of authority over the dissemination of knowledge through the establishment of dedicated spaces for knowledge exchange. The development of cities has always been engaged with its approach in managing the flow of knowledge among humans. In recent years, a growing emphasis on human-centric approaches for the dissemination of knowledge has emerged as a response to numerous drawbacks arising from the neglect of the human as a factor for knowledge-based developments in urban studies. However, the lack of a historical perspective in these studies to shed light on experienced patterns and trends might overlook their potentials for evolving into strategies to gain insights into contemporary urban issues. The aim of this study is to find the position of knowledge exchange in social dynamics and inquiry for the process for which human plays the role of protagonist within urban context focusing on Athens in its classical era. This is an attempt for one step forward in redefining the flow of knowledge for an inclusive knowledge exchange in urban space.

Abstract
This is an attempt for one step forward in redefining the flow of knowledge for an inclusive knowledge exchange in urban space.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
