This thesis comprehensively analyzes the market presence and trends of NFT projects initiated by traditional companies. The study gathered and analyzed 275 news articles related to the NFT market from 2021 to 2022. Relevant information such as critical participants, industry sectors, the blockchain technology used, and geographical distribution was extracted from the news articles. The analysis revealed sector diversity within NFT projects, with the "Technology & Electronics" sector having the highest number of projects, followed by the "Media, Art & Entertainment" sector. Ethereum emerged as the most commonly used blockchain for NFT projects, attributed to its established infrastructure, smart contract capabilities, and broader adoption within the NFT ecosystem. The study revealed that nearly 49% of all NFT projects were managed from the United States. This high concentration can be attributed to factors such as the country's technological advancements, strong investor presence, and a supportive regulatory environment for blockchain and crypto-related ventures. Moreover, more than 50% of the analyzed projects formed partnerships with crypto-native companies, indicating the growing collaboration between traditional companies and blockchain-native entities. This collaboration allows for leveraging expertise and resources to drive innovation and development. Overall, this thesis provides valuable insights into the sector distribution, blockchain usage, and geographic distribution of NFT projects initiated by traditional companies. The findings highlight the evolving trends and ecosystem of NFTs, shedding light on the industry's growth and the strategic partnerships fueling its expansion.
Questo elaborato presenta un'analisi approfondita della presenza di mercato e delle tendenze dei progetti NFT avviati da aziende tradizionali. Lo studio ha coinvolto la raccolta e l'analisi di 275 articoli di notizie correlati al mercato NFT dal 2021 al 2022. Sono stati estratti dati rilevanti come partecipanti chiave, settori industriali, tecnologia blockchain utilizzata e distribuzione geografica dagli articoli di notizie. L'analisi ha rivelato una diversità di settori nei progetti NFT, con il settore "Tecnologia ed Elettronica" che ha il maggior numero di progetti, seguito dal settore "Media, Arte e Intrattenimento". Ethereum è emerso come la blockchain più utilizzata per i progetti NFT, grazie alla sua infrastruttura consolidata, alle capacità dei contratti intelligenti e all'ampia adozione nell'ecosistema NFT. Lo studio ha rivelato che quasi il 49% di tutti i progetti NFT erano gestiti dagli Stati Uniti. Questa alta concentrazione può essere attribuita a fattori come i progressi tecnologici del paese, una forte presenza di investitori e un ambiente regolatorio favorevole per le imprese legate a blockchain e criptovalute. Inoltre, oltre il 50% dei progetti analizzati hanno formato partnership con aziende crypto-native, indicando una crescente collaborazione tra aziende tradizionali ed entità native della blockchain. Questa collaborazione consente di sfruttare competenze e risorse per stimolare l'innovazione e lo sviluppo nell'ecosistema NFT. Complessivamente, questa tesi fornisce preziose informazioni sulla distribuzione settoriale, l'uso delle blockchain e la distribuzione geografica dei progetti NFT avviati da aziende tradizionali.
