Scholars exhibit a lack of unanimity when characterizing the startup studio concept, evident through the usage of at least eight distinct terms within existing literature, such as “startup factory,” “venture builder,” and “company builder” (Lawrence et al., 2019). Accordingly, a relatively small body of literature has been dedicated to the analysis of these organizations and processes of venture creation linked to their outputs (Lawrence et al., 2019). To address this gap, this study undertakes a literature review to clarify the nature of the topic. In addition, the aim of this research is to examine the processes of venture creation in relation to the concept of boundary objects. This analysis explores how collaboration between different disciplines and service design could be enhanced through the application of the VeniSIA venture creation process. The study also provides insights from a case study involving the development of a digital job search platform. This proposed approach is likely to facilitate the representation of shared activities among all actors, the transformation of competences into actions, the amalgamation of design with management and other different disciplines, the involvement of different domains and the validation of the project. Nonetheless, collaboration between diverse parties is affected by individuals’ disposition to absorb new knowledge from areas of expertise other than their own. Overall, this work offers a valuable viewpoint on boosting coordination between design and other domains throughout the development process, legitimizing the contribution of service design.

Abstract
Overall, this work offers a valuable viewpoint on boosting coordination between design and other domains throughout the development process, legitimizing the contribution of service design.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
