This paper aims to explore projects in sustainable fashion that use laser technology to process pre-consumer textile waste for waste minimization design. First, the background and significance of the study are introduced, the purpose and concept of the paper are stated, and the methods used in the study are described. The literature review section covers knowledge about sustainable fashion and laser technology. In the sustainable fashion section, aspects such as definition and scope, current status of development, and practices and applications for reducing pre- and post-consumer waste are discussed. In the laser technology section, the definition, principle, classification and characteristics of laser technology are introduced, and the advantages of laser technology in sustainable fashion are discussed. Next, the paper discusses the sustainable application of laser technology in the fashion field, including laser cutting, laser engraving, laser ablation, laser welding and laser dyeing. The social, environmental, cultural and economic impacts of laser technology are also analyzed, and the development opportunities and challenges of laser technology in sustainable fashion are discussed. Due to the limited scope, the paper also examines the sustainability of pre-consumer fashion waste and cotton and polyester fibres. Includes material selection motivations, sustainability of cotton and polyester fiber waste, and the application of laser technology on cotton and polyester fibers. After the theoretical description, through laser experiments, an alternative connection system for the application of laser technology was practiced, including interlocking structures and alternative connections of components, as well as related content about laser technology changing the shape of textiles. Finally, through the analysis of the experimental results, we selected Highly adaptable materials and a more durable structure. The final paper presents the design process for a zero-waste seamless clothing collection that deals with pre-consumer textile waste. The motivation for the project, design concept, design process and source and application of materials are introduced. In addition, a platform called "RenewalBeam" for processing pre-consumer textile waste was created and its sustainability, potential and prospects were discussed. The significance and value of the research results are summarized, the sustainable fashion system is understood, and the future development direction and trends are prospected.
