The escalating significance of energy consumption and efficiency in the contemporary European scenario, underscore the imperative for sustainable engineering practices. This paradigm shift is driven by a heightened awareness of environmental sustainability and energy efficiency. One of the tools adopted in Italy to address these challenges is the drawing up of energy diagnoses. Energy-intensive companies are required to commission Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) to conduct comprehensive assessments. The involvement of specialized technicians is the most appropriate way to find tailor-made solutions to meet the diverse needs of the site under analysis. The work carried out is structured in the same way as an energy audit, in compliance with national and international regulations and the guidelines published by ENEA on its dedicated portal. The organization in this case study is part of the services sector, whose core business is credit and business information systems, together with data processing. The work aims to identify and propose improvements to reduce the consumption of both electricity and other energy carriers, once the site and its consumption have been analyzed in detail. The study explores a range of interventions, including the adoption of a tri-generator and the replacement of the PV system. Each proposed intervention is meticulous designed to achieve a significant reduction in the impact of the analyzed site, both in energy and economic terms, with a consequent minimization of the site's carbon footprint. The centrality of primary energy reduction emerges as a foundational principle in the context of energy audits, underlining the broader significance of these initiatives in achieving sustainable energy practices.

Abstract
The centrality of primary energy reduction emerges as a foundational principle in the context of energy audits, underlining the broader significance of these initiatives in achieving sustainable energy practices.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
