CuRare Terre - un progetto per i territori fragili dell'Adda Sud, da Lodi a Cavenago d'Adda

The Adda River represents the heart of the dynamics between nature, man and culture which characterize the Lodigiano and Cremasco areas, but which, nowadays, are in a fragile state, fragmented into small villages, often in a state of neglect and inevitable degradation. CuRare Terre aims to trigger a process of valorisation and regeneration of these places, with a focus on respectful use and the creation of a sustainable balance between man and nature. Cyclo-pedestrian itineraries, part of a branched network throughout the territory, are identified as key tools to achieve this goal. The project emerges as an open-air museum, through micro actions of activation of the territory and the river, linking previously isolated small villages through a network that unites local communities and specific features of the place. Each room is represented by a different cultural and architectural intervention: installations in the public space, new pavilions and the recovery of existing buildings with identity and historical-cultural characteristics but in a state of abandonment and fragility. The research thesis aims to reveal, recognise and valorise the tangible and intangible resources of the territory, contributing to provide operational responses to the critical issues present. A conscious and responsible tourism is the tool to activate these places, promoting immersive experiences that actively involve local communities.

Il fiume Adda costituisce il fulcro dell’ interazione tra natura, uomo e cultura che caratterizza l’area del Lodigiano e del Cremasco, ma attualmente in stato di fragilità, frammentato in piccoli borghi, spesso abbandonati e soggetti a un inevitabile processo di degrado. CuRare Terre punta ad innescare un processo di valorizzazione e rigenerazione di questi luoghi, con particolare attenzione alla fruizione rispettosa e alla creazione di un equilibrio sostenibile tra uomo e natura. Itinerari ciclo-pedonali, parte di una rete ramificata su tutto il territorio, sono identificati come strumenti chiave per raggiungere questo obiettivo. Il progetto emerge come un museo a cielo aperto, attraverso micro-azioni di attivazione del territorio e del fiume, collegando i piccoli borghi precedentemente isolati attraverso una rete che unisce comunità locali e identità specifiche del luogo. Ogni stanza è rappresentata da un intervento culturale e architettonico differente: installazioni nello spazio pubblico, nuovi padiglioni e il recupero di edifici esistenti con caratteristiche identitarie e storicoculturali ma in condizioni di abbandono e fragilità. La tesi di ricerca si propone di rivelare, riconoscere e valorizzare le risorse tangibili e intangibili del territorio, contribuendo a fornire risposte operative alle criticità presenti. Un turismo consapevole e responsabile rappresenta lo strumento di attivazione di questi luoghi, promuovendo esperienze immersive che coinvolgano attivamente le comunità locali.
