In recent years there has been growing interest in ammonia in the energy sector: thanks to the 17.8% weight of hydrogen and its carbon-free structure, it is an excellent alternative both to traditional fuels and to hydrogen for the storage and transport of energy over long distance. For safe ammonia storage and transport, it is essential to know the relative flammability limits, not only at ambient temperature and pressure. In the industrial sector, flammability limits are more and more relevant, due to the fact that the use of ammonia as a fuel is becoming increasingly widespread. The aim of this work is to investigate a predictive model for determining flammability limits, after having validated the kinetics used in the modeling. From the results obtained, it can be seen that the model used overestimates the upper flammability limits, this depends on the kinetics used, which will need to be further investigated in the future.

Abstract
From the results obtained, it can be seen that the model used overestimates the upper flammability limits, this depends on the kinetics used, which will need to be further investigated in the future.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
