In the context of today's globalized world, waste management and environmental challenges have become increasingly important. Global companies are increasingly addressing the environmental impact of their operations, especially in waste management. This focus is crucial in the context of climate change, air and water pollution, and growing concerns about natural resource scarcity. In parallel, business internationalization has become a distinctive feature of the contemporary economy, with companies seeking opportunities in foreign markets to expand their operations. This requires a thorough understanding of local dynamics and environmental regulations in target markets. This thesis focuses on the intersection of these two key trends, examining how companies operating on an international scale address waste management challenge in a global context. The primary objective is to investigate how International Business-related decisions affect the performance of companies in the Waste Management sector. Different ways of entering the market will be examined, evaluating the choice between mergers and acquisitions or direct investments, in order to identify the most effective strategy in relation to the specific context of Waste Management. In addition, special attention will be paid to psychic distance analysis, examining how cultural, linguistic and institutional differences between markets can affect business decisions and firm performance. This is of particular importance in the Waste Management industry, where environmental regulations, waste management practices, and societal expectations can vary significantly across countries. In conclusion, the results will help provide an overview of the dynamics between International Business and Waste Management, highlighting how the different aspects analyzed impact on business performance.

Abstract
In conclusion, the results will help provide an overview of the dynamics between International Business and Waste Management, highlighting how the different aspects analyzed impact on business performance.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
