With the growth of the elderly population, the care and monitoring of the health of an elderly person become increasingly crucial challenges for families and nations. A wearable tracker is undoubtedly a useful tool to locate an elderly person in real-time and continuously collect positioning data. By analyzing this data, it is possible to understand the activities carried out by the elderly person outside the home. In this thesis, we propose an approach to analyze the collected positioning data using an algorithm that detect stay points. Subsequently, habit analysis is conducted through the clustering of the determined stay points, distinguishing areas frequently visited by the elderly person from those visited casually. Finally, the collected positioning data are divided into different paths to extract information about daily movements. By implementing the necessary programs to collect and analyze positioning data, we conducted the experiment using a wearable tracker. The obtained results are positive, and the proposed algorithms have proven to be efficient in analyzing positioning data.

Abstract
The obtained results are positive, and the proposed algorithms have proven to be efficient in analyzing positioning data.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
