NATURA IN ATTO. Teatro effimero: armoniosa sinfonia dei cinque sensi

In a bucolic valley defined by two slopes, where a stream flows, retracing history and unifying everything, nature carves out its space. Over time, it has rooted itself in an architecture that has now become ruins. However, this structure retains its ancient splendor, harmoniously blending with the surrounding landscape. This natural and archaeological relationship constitutes a balance where time sets the rules, and space is the result of a transformation that alters its appearance. In this reality, nature is not merely perceived as such; it is a multitude of impulses and an irrepeatable alchemy of colors, scents, sounds, and flavors that define the “Genius loci”: the spirit of the place determined by sensory experience becomes part of the grand theatrical narrative. The project aims to transport the spectator into a space immersed in the spectacle in its broadest and most participatory facets. Just as in ancient times, the spectator was enthralled by actors wearing masks who created a fictitious reality, today, people allow themselves to be deceived, captivated, and enchanted by aromas, flavors, and fragrances found in the simple yet complex nature. The individual has the dual role of a spectator, harnessing the power of sight like a rake that gathers the imaginary, the real, and the fleeting moment; simultaneously, they become an actor in small participatory actions and in the new dialogue between people and the environment. It is a theater that takes shape along the journey; it is never static but dynamic. The freedom to lie on the grass under the sun, to caress the leaves of the trees, to listen to the song of the birds, and to pause by the stream’s edge is not imposed but determined by the participant, who dictates the rhythm and breaks. This theater fosters a freedom of rediscovery, highlighting its value far from convention and the too-familiar body, all through sensations. Let’s imagine a theater without a theater.

In una vallata bucolica definita da due pendii, dove fluisce un ruscello che ripercorre la storia e che tutto unifica, si fa spazio una natura che nel corso del tempo ha affondato le proprie radici impossessandosi di un’architettura diventata ormai rovina. Tuttavia, questa conserva il suo antico splendore legandosi armoniosamente al paesaggio in cui è inserita. Questo rapporto naturale e archeologico costituisce un equilibrio in cui il tempo detta le regole e lo spazio è il risultato di una trasformazione che muta il proprio aspetto. In questa realtà la natura non è solo percepita in quanto tale, ma è una molteplicità di impulsi e un irripetibile alchimia di colori, odori, suoni, sapori che ne definiscono il “Genius loci”: lo spirito del luogo determinato dall’esperienza sensoriale diventa parte del grande racconto teatrale. Il progetto ha come obiettivo quello di portare lo spettatore in uno spazio all’insegna dello spettacolo nelle sue sfaccettature più ampie e partecipate. Come in tempi antichi lo spettatore rimaneva soggiogato da attori dotati di maschere che creavano una realtà fittizia, ad oggi l’uomo si fa ingannare, soggiogare e incantare da aromi, sapori e fragranze che ritrova nella semplice -e allo stesso tempo complessa- natura. L’uomo ha il duplice ruolo di spettatore nel momento in cui sfrutta la potenza dello sguardo come un rastrello che raccoglie l’immaginario, il reale e l’attimo fuggente; al tempo stesso diventa attore nelle piccole azioni partecipate e nel nuovo dialogo tra persone e ambiente. È un teatro che si forma durante il percorso; non è mai statico, bensì dinamico. La libertà di sdraiarsi sull’erba sotto il sole, di accarezzare le foglie degli alberi, di ascoltare il canto degli uccelli e di fermarsi a rinfrescarsi ai margini del ruscello non è imposta, ma è determinata dal fruitore, che decide il ritmo e le pause. Questo teatro genera una libertà di riscoperta, mettendo in luce il suo valore lontano dalla convenzione e dal corpo al quale si è troppo abituato, tutto attraverso le sensazioni. Immaginiamo un teatro senza teatro.
