The golden forest: visitor center

In the sleeping forest of the Guayacanes, a large number of dry trees await the first drops of rain. These are trees, whose branches remain leafless for most of the year. In mid-January, the first raindrop falls from the sky, then the second and third, becoming unstoppable until it turns into a downpour that could last for days. This is the moment when the forest awakens and around forty thousand hectares of trees begin to bloom, painting the landscape in yellow with the reddish contrast of the dry soil. A unique experience of the magical spectacle of nature that lasts a few days, making it one of a kind.

Nella foresta dormiente dei Guayacanes, un grande numero di alberi secchi attende le prime gocce di pioggia. Si tratta di alberi i cui rami rimangono senza foglie per la maggior parte dell'anno. A metà gennaio, la prima goccia cade dal cielo, poi la seconda e la terza, diventando pioggia inarrestabile fino a trasformarsi in un acquazzone che può durare giorni. È il momento in cui la foresta si risveglia e circa quarantamila ettari di alberi iniziano a fiorire, dipingendo il paesaggio di giallo con il contrasto rossastro del terreno secco. Un'esperienza unica del magico spettacolo della natura che dura pochi giorni, rendendola speciale nel suo genere.
