There are various methods in Six Sigma; DMAIC is one of the mostly used methodologies in Six Sigma. DMAIC has been applied in wide range of business areas. In this thesis 9 cases of DMAIC methodology applications in logistics and supply chain departments are evaluated from different sectors around the world which are aimed to increase their quality level by help of DMAIC application. Cases are compared based on how they applied DMAIC and its tools, company structure, sigma level and project performance changes. A systematical approach is generated to select the relevant cases with our objective and also sorting methodology is generated to compare selected cases coherently. The objective of this paper is to conclude significant results by comparing these cases in order to reveal gaps, mistakes, misunderstandings and to give suggestions for future projects of DMAIC applications.
