Development of sustainability with a focus on the electric mobility sector and passenger cars

The paper will deal with the topic of sustainability applied to the transport sector and electric vehicles. We will retrace the history of sustainability to understand when the phenomenon was born, and then explain sustainability today, in terms of sustainable development objectives, supporting legislation, most impacted sectors and sustainability indicators. The discussion will continue by delving into the theme of sustainability in the transport sector, as it has greater emissions of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, to delve deeper into how the sector is moving in the transition to electric, what the limitations are to date and the different types of electric vehicles on the market. the treaty will proceed by delving into the topic of electric vehicles to understand what the phenomenon and the technologies behind it consist of today, furthermore a database will be analyzed in order to understand whether the current offer portfolio of electric vehicles can cover consumers' needs and therefore guarantee a total transition to electric. Finally, the limits currently holding back the choice and diffusion of electric vehicles will be explored in depth.

L'elaborato tratterrà il tema della sostenibilità applicato al settore dei trasporti e ai veicoli elettrici. Si ripercorrerà la storia della sostenibilità per comprendere quando è nato il fenomeno, per poi declinare la sostenibilità ad oggi, in termini di obiettivi di sviluppo sostenibile, legislazioni a sostegno, settori più impattati e indicatori di sostenibilità. La trattazione proseguirà andando ad approfondire il tema della sostenibilità nel settore dei trasporti, in quanto con maggiori emissioni di gas effetto serra in atmosfera, per approfondire come si sta muovendo il settore nella transizione all'elettrico, quali sono le limitazioni ad oggi e le diverse tipologie di veicoli elettrici presenti sul mercato. il trattato procederà andando ad approfondire il tema dei veicoli elettrici per comprendere ad oggi in cosa consiste il fenomeno e le tecnologie dietro, inoltre verrà analizzato un database al fine di comprendere se il portafoglio di offerta ad oggi di veicoli elettrici può coprire il bisogno dei consumatori e quindi garantire una totale transizione all'elettrico. Infine verranno approfonditi i limiti ad oggi che frenano la scelta e la diffusione dell'elettrico.
