This thesis delves into the intricate dynamics of public-private partnerships (PPPs), private sector investment, and government regulations in the context of last-mile delivery, long-distance transportation, and freight villages, with a primary focus on decarbonizing the logistics chain. Through an extensive examination of the interactions among these stakeholders, the study elucidates their roles, challenges, and collaborative strategies in achieving sustainability goals within the logistics industry. By analyzing case studies, regulatory frameworks, and investment models, the research sheds light on effective approaches to reducing carbon emissions, enhancing operational efficiency, and fostering innovation in freight transportation. The findings underscore the significance of coordinated efforts between governments, businesses, and other stakeholders in driving sustainable development in the logistics sector, thereby contributing to environmental protection and economic growth.
