Newgreenvision : a different approach to the Brescia green infrastructure

The main objective of this thesis work is to recompose a theoretical basis of green infrastructure to be used as a starting point to design green infrastructure for Brescia, cities with numerous environmental problems but that in recent decades has begun a process of revaluation of its historical, cultural and natural heritage. It is this dynamic context that this green infrastructure project fits in and its aim is to improve the urban microclimate and the life of citizens by reducing urban temperatures and removing pollutants from the air, to improve the landscape and safeguard biodiversity.

L’obiettivo principale di questo lavoro di tesi magistrale è di ricomporre una base teorica delle infrastrutture verdi da utilizzare come punto di partenza per disegnare un’infrastruttura verde per Brescia, città dalle numerose problematiche ambientali ma che negli ultimi decenni ha iniziato un percorso di rivalutazione del proprio patrimonio storico, culturale e naturale. É in tale contesto dinamico che questo proggetto di infrastruttura verde si inserisce e il cui scopo è quello di migliorare il microclima urbano e la vita dei cittadini grazie alla riduzione delle temperature urbane e la rimozione degli inquinanti dall’aria, per migliorare il paesaggio e salvaguardare la biodiversità.
