1997: Univers Jacquemus : set e lighting design per una sfilata retrospettiva

Fashion is part of a univers that moves at very high speed, keeps changing and twisting, and where trends return and collections sell out in just a couple of months. Designers and fashion houses collect, season after season, the garments of the future and present them to the public during fashion shows that enliven fashion weeks all over the world. Breathtaking shows in spectacular venues, usually specially designed for the event, that come to life in a few days only to vanish just after the show. Interior design finds fertile ground for experimentation within this sector characterized by strong creative, emotional and evocative components and by an unparalleled media resonance. Light, temporary, scenographic project can transport the public in new dimensions and create the perfect background for the clothes on the catwalk. In events like these, a proper implementation of the lighting design, aimed at showing the garments worn by the models at their best but also at creating the right atmosphere, becomes essential. After analyzing the components that make up the Fashion System within a global landscape, the objective of this dissertation is therefore to design the set-up for a fashion show, with attached lighting design, referring to an event actually organized by the Jacquemus brand during Winter Fashion Week 2020.

Il mondo della moda si trova all’interno di un universo che viaggia ad altissima velocità, fatto di continui cambiamenti, stravolgimenti, tendenze che ritornano e collezioni che si esauriscono nel giro di pochi mesi. Stilisti e case di moda collezionano, stagione dopo stagione, i capi d’abbigliamento del futuro e le presentano al grande pubblico durante le sfilate, che animano la Fashion Week in tutto il mondo. Show spettacolari in location suggestive, spesso progettate ad hoc in occasione dell’evento, che prendono vita nell’arco di pochi giorni, per poi svanire nel nulla nel giro di poche ore dalla fine della sfilata. Il design degli interni trova dunque un fertile terreno di sperimentazione all’interno di questo settore, caratterizzato da forti componenti creative, emozionali, suggestive e dall’ineguagliabile risonanza mediatica. Progetti leggeri, temporanei, scenografici, in grado di trasportare il pubblico in nuove dimensioni e creare il giusto background alla presentazione degli abiti portati in passerella. In eventi di questo tipo diventa anche fondamentale una corretta attuazione del progetto illuminotecnico, volto a mostrare al meglio i capi indossati dalle modelle, ma anche contribuire in maniera importante alla creazione dell’atmosfera desiderata. Dopo aver analizzato le componenti che costituiscono il Fashion System all’interno di un panorama globale, l’obiettivo della tesi è dunque la progettazione dell’allestimento per una sfilata di moda, con annesso progetto illuminotecnico, facendo riferimento ad un evento realmente organizzato dal brand Jacquemus durante la Fashion Week invernale del 2020.
