This thesis aims to investigate the decade of cybernetics in architecture from 1960 to 1970, with particular attention to the role that the magazine Architectural Design played in collecting the main issues debated in this period. Subsequently it ask whether cybernetics has completely disappeared after the aforementioned decade or whether it has simply evolved, changing its name and appearance, and whether some of the fundamental principles it proposed have actually become integral parts of the daily approach to design. The correlations between today’s processes and the processes of the time are therefore analysed, in a context of systemic, self-organising and reactive design, with possible plans for future development and energy autonomy, and more. At the end of the thesis, a project idea is proposed that seeks to incorporate these reasonings within it.

Abstract
At the end of the thesis, a project idea is proposed that seeks to incorporate these reasonings within it.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
