Fuochi fatui : ecosistema di simbionti bioluminescenti

The thesis aims to investigate the relationship between inert matter and living matter through the prototyping of an artifact obtained from the bioluminescent mycelium of the Panellus stipticus and the revival of ancient techniques such as wicker weaving. In order to study the dynamics of fungal order, various fields are investigated, from the symbiosis of man and nature to the "origin of the fungus". In a future development, the prototype becomes part of an ecological myco-utopia where the natural values of sensitivity and emotionality of natural agents are rediscovered, along with the possibilities that these bring at the mercy of the atavic entity, which is the human itself.

La tesi si propone di investigare la relazione tra materia inerte e materia viva tramite la prototipazione di un manufatto ottenuto dal micelio bioluminescente del panellus stipticus e la ripresa di tecniche arcaiche come l’intreccio del midollino. Al fine di studiare le dinamiche dell’ordine fungino vengono indagati svariati campi, dalla simbiosi uomo-natura all’origine “del fungo”. In uno sviluppo futuro il prototipo prende parte ad una mico-utopia ecologia dove vengono riscoperti i valori naturali della sensibilità e dell’emotività degli agenti naturali e delle possibilità che queste portano alla mercè dell’entità atavica, che è l’umano stesso.
