It is imperative to recognize the significance of bridging fashion with heritage, particularly within the rich tapestry of Italy’s cultural landscape. Major fashion houses, such as Maison Gucci, are increasingly drawn to the allure of heritage sites for their prestigious showcases, thus highlighting the symbiotic relationship between creativity and history. This project transcends mere spectacle; it is a holistic experience that seeks to honor and revitalize the legacy of Villa Adriana, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to the ethereal beauty of Villa Adriana, this project will unfold across five distinct venues: Teatro Marittimo, Cortile delle Biblioteche, Canopo, Tre Esedra, and the enchanting area adjacent to Cento Camerelle. Each space will serve as a canvas for the convergence of haute couture and historical grandeur, offering attendees a multisensory journey through time and style. Through the seamless integration of fashion and setting, the thesis aspires to evoke a sense of wonder, reverence, and appreciation for the timeless beauty that surrounds us. With a deep reverence for this harmonious union, this project’s aim is to compose a grand celebration within the enchanting grounds of Villa Adriana, wherein fabrics will intertwine with ancient courtyards, fashion will elegantly glide along waterborne runways, and the echoes of a Roman feast will reverberate through time. Additionally, stirred by the villa’s history as a sanctuary of serenity amidst the bustling metropolis of Rome, this thesis endeavors to weave a vision of the Gucci Therme, an ethereal oasis where the whispers of ancient waters mingle with the threads of contemporary luxury, echoing the timeless allure of Villa Adriana’s storied past.

L’essenza del lavoro di tesi consiste nell'esplorazione di una fusione accattivante tra due forme distinte di espressione artistica: la moda e la scenografia architettonica. È fondamentale riconoscere l'importanza del collegamento tra la moda Italiana e il suo ricco patrimonio culturale e paesaggistico. Grandi case di moda, come la Maison Gucci, sono sempre più attratte dal fascino dei siti storici come location per le loro prestigiose esposizioni, mettendo così in luce il rapporto simbiotico tra creatività e storia. Questo progetto però va oltre lo spettacolo fine a se stesso: è un'esperienza olistica che cerca di rendere onore e rivitalizzare il lascito di Villa Adriana, un sito UNESCO, patrimonio dell'umanità. Oltre alla bellezza eterea di Villa Adriana, questo progetto si svolge in cinque aree ben distinte: Teatro Marittimo, Cortile delle Biblioteche, Canopo, Tre Esedra e l'incantevole area adiacente a Cento Camerelle. Ogni spazio serve da tela per la convergenza dell'alta moda e della grandiosità storica, offrendo ai partecipanti un viaggio multisensoriale attraverso il tempo e lo stile. Attraverso l'integrazione senza soluzione di continuità tra moda e il suggestivo contesto storico, la tesi aspira a suscitare nello spettatore un senso di meraviglia, riverenza e apprezzamento per la bellezza senza tempo che lo circonda. Con profondo rispetto per questa unione armoniosa, l'obiettivo di questo progetto è comporre una grande celebrazione all'interno degli incantevoli terreni di Villa Adriana, dove i tessuti si intrecciano con gli antichi cortili, la moda sfila elegantemente lungo passerelle d'acqua e gli echi di un banchetto romano risuonano attraverso gli echi del tempo. Inoltre, ispirandosi alla storia della Villa come santuario di serenità nel caotico contesto metropolitano di Roma, questa tesi si impegna a definire una visione del Gucci Terme, un'oasi eterea dove i sussurri delle antiche acque termali si mescolano ai fili del lusso contemporaneo, riflettendo il fascino senza tempo del passato storico di Villa Adriana.
