The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically changed people's cultural consumption patterns and attitudes toward cultural heritage. The lockdown during the pandemic forced cultural heritage to shift from offline to online experiences. Huge user demand stimulated the rapid development of cultural-related digital technologies, and ultimately, cultural content represented by cultural heritage achieved standardized digital production. This shift has also significantly increased the coverage and availability of cultural heritage, and more people have begun to benefit from cultural heritage. This impact is long-lasting, and even after the pandemic, people's enthusiasm for cultural heritage experience is still growing. This paper started based on this background. The research object is Yuncheng City, Shanxi Province, one of the cities with the most abundant cultural heritage resources in China. The research aims to innovate the interaction between people and local cultural heritage through product service system design and promote the sustainable development of regional cultural heritage. It found that the biggest problem in the target area is the severe mismatch between the number of cultural heritage resources and the human and material resources used for protection. It also found the region's most prominent cultural heritage attractions to users are authentic, lively, and touchable. A vital outcome of this study is the "Hedong Treasure" integrated information platform for cultural heritage. It aims to connect different stakeholders with cultural heritage as the center and thereby realize the flow of internal and external resources, maximizing the use of social resources to support the sustainable development of local cultural heritage and promote regional social and economic growth and the living standards of local people.
