This thesis deals with the role of Facility Management in the fashion industry, focusing its attention on a complex reality such as fashion show events held at the corporate site. The paper first provides a focus on the economic context of fashion in Italy, highlighting the market structure with particular reference to the trends of recent years. Subsequently, reflection shifts to events, which have been the subject of numerous studies, starting with Getz's theorization. The main general characteristics of events are first indicated, in order to identify the types of fashion events with their characteristics. In the third chapter the analysis shifts to the relationship between facility management and fashion shows. It identifies both the tasks required for this corporate function as well as the role of Facility Management in fostering sustainability and innovation, on which the future of the fashion industry will increasingly be played. We then get to the heart of the analysis, considering the role of Facility Management in the fashion show events that take place within the company headquarters. All the phases of the process of organizing the fashion show event are described and analyzed, taking into account the actors and departments involved in all phases. Particular attention is given to the role of Facility Management in each phase, from the planning and organization of spaces to the management of contracts, budget management, technical equipment and safety and risk prevention. The last section examines all the possible criticalities that arise during the multiple stages of the processes. A final chapter formulates proposals for improvements, including the introduction of a digital platform that also serves as a documental database with the aim of improving the flowchart, the communications between the various functions, and the management of activities in all the process phases. Research is supported by bibliography on the fashion market, on the organization of events (and fashion events) and facility management, but it is original in the identification of the role of facility management in fashion shows within the company headquarters.
