Looking back, the human experience of each outbreak has had lasting and serious subsequent effects, such as the COVID-19 that occurred in the past few years, causing subsequent stress reactions, changes in interpersonal relationships, imbalances in the social order, and shifts in family relationships, which have led to increased attention to the state of mental health. In this context, "therapeutic design", which has unique and significant advantages in dealing with emotional distress, soothing traumatic experiences, and psychological healing, has gained more public attention. This research will focus on the following three questions: 1.How to re-conceptualise the importance of mental health and how to alleviate public psychological stress after a period of worldwide epidemic? 2.How can to utilize the healing function implanted in urban public space environments to explore new possibilities of public space through nature and sensory healing? 3.How to pay more attention to the mental health and well-being of marginalized groups to create an inclusive and friendly environment? This thesis will provide an extensive literature review of the history, concepts, and methods of therapeutic design. Through case studies, the thesis will describe the implications of using therapeutic spaces and tools (e.g. multi-sensory design, nature healing) and summarise the various design approaches. In the practical phase, the project will be supported by field research, questionnaires, and case studies. Finally, the healing center of the project is proposed based on theoretical research and case studies.

Abstract
Finally, the healing center of the project is proposed based on theoretical research and case studies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
