Autistic people are a group who differ from the general population in ways that are often not well understood or recognized by society. They require increased social support, and among them, children represent a population that necessitates particularly specialized care. The high functioning autistic people may appear uneasy in social situations or clumsy in expressing emotions, but this does not mean they lack feelings or are incapable of experiencing the beauty of life. As members of society, it is each person’s responsibility to pay attention and understand this special group. Numerous efforts have been made by neurotypical individuals to support those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in education (both general and specialized), inclusion in daily activities, and social interaction with peers. However, there remains much to learn and accomplish to further enhance their support. We should respect their differences, understand their needs, and create a more friendly and inclusive environment for them. Therefore, this thesis aims to raise public awareness and understanding of the challenges faced by autistic children in their daily school life. Through an interactive narrative game, You and Me (U &Amy) following the daily life of an eight-year-old girl with autism, immersing ourselves in the challenges faced by individuals with autism, thereby raising school peers’ attention and concern for this group. At the same time, we hope that through this project, we can foster greater understanding and sensitivity among neurotypical children, which will indirectly improve the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families, helping them to better integrate into society and enjoy their lives.

Abstract
At the same time, we hope that through this project, we can foster greater understanding and sensitivity among neurotypical children, which will indirectly improve the quality of life for individuals with autism and their families, helping them to better integrate into society and enjoy their lives.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
