This thesis explores the impact of multitech solutions on the energy consumption and emissions reduction of Small and Medium Enterprises. By examining the Portalupi case study it aims to quantify the benefits and identify the challenges associated with these technologies. In particular, the primary objective of this research is to analyse the role and applications that multitech solutions can have in the industrial world, while emphasizing their synergic relationship. Initially, the electric and thermal energy consumptions of the production site during 2022 are modelled starting from the monthly bills of the energy vectors and the technical sheets provided by the client. In the following chapters, the introduction of different multitech solutions is analysed in order to assess the economic and environmental benefits that can be obtained through the electrification of several processes and the dismission of fossil fuels. Lastly, the introduction of an additional photovoltaic plant and an electrochemical storage system is considered, highlighting the potential savings generated from the interplay of various technologies and their collective impact. This work explores the theoretical foundations of multitech solutions, analyses their application, and assesses their effectiveness in the energy transition of the industrial sector. Ultimately, this research aims to highlight the critical role that innovative technology can play in transforming the environmental and economic landscape for Small and Medium Enterprises. In order to achieve these objectives, this thesis employs a mixed-methods approach, combining qualitative and quantitative simulations. In fact, the methodology includes techno-economic assessments and empirical analysis using data from industrial operations, that provide insights into the efficacy, feasibility, and scalability of these solutions in driving sustainable transformation of the sector. In conclusion, the ultimate purpose of this research is to provide a comprehensive framework for understanding the potential of multitech solutions in the industrial world, highlighting the strategic approaches required for their successful implementation in the field.
