This thesis explores the potential benefits of incorporating gamification into creative platforms to enhance user engagement and promote artistic creation. The study employs the 6D Framework to systematically integrate gamification elements into the app, aiming to increase user retention, promote continuous interaction, and foster community involvement. The primary research question addresses whether gamification can significantly boost user engagement and motivation in a creative context. Gamification, the use of game design elements in non-game contexts, has evolved as a strategy to improve user engagement by making activities more enjoyable and interactive. This thesis reviews the theoretical foundations of gamification, highlighting its core components such as points, badges, leaderboards, and challenges, and their role in driving user motivation and engagement. The study also examines various player types and how gamification strategies can be tailored to meet their diverse needs and preferences. The methodology involves integrating these gamification elements into the app’s structure and collecting user feedback to assess their impact on engagement and satisfaction. User evaluations indicate that gamification effectively captures interest and sustains participation by leveraging both intrinsic and extrinsic motivations. Users reported higher levels of satisfaction and engagement, attributing their continued use of the app to the rewarding and interactive nature of the gamified elements. The findings of this study suggest that gamification can transform routine tasks into engaging experiences, thereby increasing user retention and satisfaction. This thesis contributes to the broader understanding of gamification’s potential in non-gaming contexts and also provides a foundation for future research and development in enhancing user experience through gamification.

Abstract
This thesis contributes to the broader understanding of gamification’s potential in non-gaming contexts and also provides a foundation for future research and development in enhancing user experience through gamification.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
