This review explores the advancement and application of movable antennas in wireless communication systems. Movable antennas, which can use CPU(Central Processing Unit) calculations and adjust the antenna position through mechanical structures, could become a key technology to improve communication performance. This study explores various as- pects of movable antennas, including their design, simulation, and implementation in multi-platform wireless communication systems. The literature review covers a wide range of research, from papers that first mentioned the concept of movable antennas to the application of movable antennas in recent years combined with emerging technologies such as RIS (Reconfigurable Intelligent Surface). The key areas of focus include antenna position optimization for multi-user communica- tions, joint beamforming and antenna motion design, and secure wireless communications through movable antennas. At the same time, this review also explores the two major challenges of current movable antennas, antenna position optimization and channel es- timation. The papers involved are compared and the optimization schemes appearing in the papers are summarized. The papers are classified according to the optimization object. This review also identifies the research gaps in current papers and proposes future re- search directions to address the challenges associated with movable antenna systems. By leveraging advanced algorithms and optimization techniques, movable antennas are ex- pected to have a relevant impact on the wireless communication landscape and provide enhanced performance, flexibility, and security.
Questa revisione esplora l’avanzamento e l’applicazione delle antenne mobili nei sistemi di comunicazione wireless. Le antenne mobili, che possono utilizzare calcoli per regolare la posizione dell’antenna tramite strutture meccaniche, sono diventate una tecnologia poten- zialmente chiave per migliorare le prestazioni di comunicazione. Questo studio esplora vari aspetti delle antenne mobili, tra cui la loro progettazione, simulazione e implementazione nei sistemi di comunicazione wireless multi-piattaforma. La revisione della letteratura copre un’ampia gamma di ricerche, dai documenti che per primi hanno menzionato il concetto di antenne mobili all’applicazione di antenne mobili negli ultimi anni, combinata con tecnologie emergenti come le RIS (Reconfigurable In- telligent Surface). Le aree chiave di interesse includono l’ottimizzazione della posizione dell’antenna per comunicazioni multiutente, beamforming congiunto e progettazione del movimento dell’antenna e comunicazioni wireless sicure tramite antenne mobili.
