This master’s thesis aims to evaluate how a different perspective can address climate change and the issues that such complex theme brings to the table. This thesis takes in consideration how possible local interventions with reduced complexity and low socioeconomic impact can present a high added value in the urban environment as high-impact solutions regarding the topic of anthropogenic climate change. Through the multiple definition of climate and environmental changes attributed to the technological advancement of the human society, the definition of the main problems that afflict modern urban centres, the definition of implemented solutions, an unlikely category of stakeholder is proposed as source of alternative resolutions to the ones structured so far by institutional stakeholders. Finally, through the study of case studies, detected in different sectors of the built environment and their comparison, a local intervention process is developed within a wide-ranging implementation framework. Drawing inspiration from Soviet-style engineering simplicity, where the key elements were scalability through simple and quickly achievable processes and the use and management of products by users without training in use, the creation of prototypes with short application times and guidelines is suggested. It is so proposed an intervention that is easy and quick to execute, with a limited single environmental impact but, thanks to the inherent limited production cost and management cost that allow massive industrialization, thus allowing scalability, generates massive environmental and climate benefits.

Abstract
It is so proposed an intervention that is easy and quick to execute, with a limited single environmental impact but, thanks to the inherent limited production cost and management cost that allow massive industrialization, thus allowing scalability, generates massive environmental and climate benefits.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
