Numerous evidence proves that the actual most adopted economic model called Linear Economy is not sustainable. It is based on the take-make-dispose route that consists in the extraction of resources, their processing and transformation, and the disposal of the products after the use phase. This paradigm leads to disastrous consequences, considering that the resources are finite, and the demand is increasing. In this scenario, the Circular Economy can be a valid alternative being based on the preservation and enhancement of natural capital by controlling finite stocks and balancing renewable resource flows; the optimization of resource yields by circulating products, components, and materials at the highest value; the generation of closed cycles of materials and resources favouring the usage of secondary raw materials avoiding the exploitation of virgin natural resources. The focus of thesis has been the collection and the following analysis of excellent cases of Circular Economy adoption in Italy. The stories have been collected through research by keywords from literature sources and from the exploration of already developed databases of circular cases in Italy. This research methodology permitted to find 121 circular stories that have been collected in a database structured according to several characteristics of the company adopter, and various features concerning the circular implementation. The analysis has led to the evidence that the number and typology of circular practices implemented change according to the characteristics of the company adopter: especially its size (in terms of employees) and the sector in which it operates. After a detailed presentation of the results of the analysis, two particularly significant circular stories have been deepened: Manteco, operating in Textiles sector, and Davines Group in cosmetics.

Abstract
After a detailed presentation of the results of the analysis, two particularly significant circular stories have been deepened: Manteco, operating in Textiles sector, and Davines Group in cosmetics.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
