This thesis analyzes the implementation and economic impact of Lean Warehousing strategies in industrial contexts, with a particular focus on waste reduction and process efficiency. The objective is to bridge the gap between theoretical and practical applications of Lean Warehousing by proposing a model adaptable to various warehouse scenarios. A systematic literature review explores the potential of Lean methodologies, such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, continuous improvement frameworks, and Poka-Yoke techniques, to enhance operational performance, reduce logistics costs, and optimize warehouse processes. The research also includes an in-depth case study analysis, using a structured methodology to establish an effective model for selecting the most appropriate Lean techniques for improvement projects. Given the absence of a predefined reference framework and comprehensive economic analysis of the benefits of applying Lean techniques in warehousing, this thesis aims to fill this gap by developing a new methodology for warehouse optimization projects. The findings show that implementing Lean tools can lead to significant improvements in operational efficiency, cost reduction, and customer satisfaction, especially when integrated into a coherent and contextually adapted methodology. The case study of an Italian manufacturing company confirms the effectiveness of the proposed model, demonstrating its potential as a practical tool for enhancing warehouse performance.

Abstract
The case study of an Italian manufacturing company confirms the effectiveness of the proposed model, demonstrating its potential as a practical tool for enhancing warehouse performance.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
