Financial institutions operating in the Supply Chain Finance (SCF) sector have been recently faced with the challenge of fiercer competition posed by the emergence of FinTech firms offering integrated SCF programs through digital platforms. However, there have been instances of collaboration between the two players but also some banks which adopted more conservative approaches and avoided collaboration. In this regard, there is still a critical gap in identifying the motivations behind banks’ strategic choices and how they have developed internally in terms of dynamic capabilities following their choice. The thesis contributed to identifying strategic factors influencing financial institutions’ strategic choice by combining drivers already pinpointed by the literature and validated through interviews, as well as novel empirical findings. Additionally, it sheds light on which specific dynamic capabilities have been developed by banks to effectively implement a strategic choice

Abstract
Additionally, it sheds light on which specific dynamic capabilities have been developed by banks to effectively implement a strategic choiceFile | Dimensione | Formato | |
