The study presented in this thesis consists in an investigation on different methodologies for the calculation of thermal loads and energy demand of a building: steady-state methods based on UNI EN 12831, Carrier-Pizzetti Method and UNI TS 11300-1 and dynamic method based on UNI EN ISO 52016-1, applied to the case study. This calculation methodology was applied to a non-residential case study, a library located in Lugagnano (PC). The building was modeled in a calculation environment to estimate the heating and cooling peak loads, in order to correctly size the HVAC system and the energy needs to evaluate the energy consumption of the building. Therefore, after appropriately modeling the non-residential case study in the calculation environment, implementing data related to the building envelope, internal loads, infiltration rate, and the scheduling of occupancy and system operation, the comparison phase began. The results obtained from simulations carried out using the steady-state methods based on UNI EN 12831, Carrier-Pizzetti Method and UNI TS 11300-1 were compared with the results from the hourly dynamic calculation performed according to the UNI EN ISO 52016-1 standard. Thanks to the result comparison, it was possible to optimize the heating and cooling capacity, the energy consumption and the costs of the HVAC system installed.

Abstract
Thanks to the result comparison, it was possible to optimize the heating and cooling capacity, the energy consumption and the costs of the HVAC system installed.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
