Echo chain : urban acupuncture based on reconnecting nature and human being

This thesis explores a landscape redesign of a school situated between two cities, aiming to transform it into a regional nexus by establishing a connective corridor linking the coast, surrounding communities, the school, and nearby mountains. The design repositions the school as a central hub, enhancing intercity cohesion and optimizing the school’s facilities for renewed community engagement. By integrating natural and urban elements, the project promotes educational, social, and environmental synergies that activate space usage, reinforce regional identity, and foster sustainable growth across the two cities.

Questa tesi esplora la riqualificazione paesaggistica di una scuola situata tra due città, con l'obiettivo di trasformarla in un centro nevralgico regionale attraverso la creazione di un corridoio connettivo che collega la costa, le comunità circostanti, la scuola e le montagne vicine. Il progetto riposiziona la scuola come un hub centrale, migliorando la coesione tra le città e ottimizzando le strutture scolastiche per un rinnovato coinvolgimento della comunità. Integrando elementi naturali e urbani, il progetto promuove sinergie educative, sociali e ambientali che attivano l'uso dello spazio, rafforzano l'identità regionale e favoriscono una crescita sostenibile per entrambe le città.
