This thesis stems from a fundamental question: how will we live in the future? It is a question that architects and designers have always wondered about, but which does not have a single answer, especially considering the unpredictability of events that can redefine our way of living, as the Covid-19 pandemic has demonstrated. However, it is possible to identify some trends that help us understand what scenarios could emerge in the next twenty years. In a period of profound changes, questioning the future of living becomes essential to innovate a housing model that, despite the evolution of the needs of its inhabitants, has remained substantially unchanged over the last hundred years. To address this question in a broad and articulated way, the research develops through three complementary perspectives. The first part explores the utopia of living, tracing a historical path that starts from the Renaissance to arrive at the present day, identifying ideal models of homes, communities and cities and comparing them with social and cultural transformations. The second part, analyzes the crisis of contemporary living, examining current problems related to the home and new dynamics of life. Finally, the third part proposes a project hypothesis, which imagines a future scenario by taking to the extreme some trends already in place in today's society.

Abstract
Finally, the third part proposes a project hypothesis, which imagines a future scenario by taking to the extreme some trends already in place in today's society.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
