Energy balance of the building and its use to support design choices

One of the important issues in this era is paying attention to energy and preventing its waste. Especially in residential buildings, this case has been seen a lot. In this project, we have investigated energy balance and energy efficiency. Therefore, a 6-story building with 12 apartments was selected in Cairo city. After modelling the building in IESVI and paying attention to its different parts such as internal and external walls and windows, we analysed the building. We understood that it is too hot in summer and too cold in winter the only thing we can notice is that it is too hot in summer and too cold in winter: ventilation is not enough in summer (but we cannot reasonably have much more than 6.0 ACH) and it is too much in winter. The first thing we can do is to shade gains in a very long period, for example, from April to October. The second is to have a lower ventilation from November to march. The third is to insulate the roof and the walls a little more and eventually, to choose double glass.

Uno dei temi importanti di quest’epoca è prestare attenzione all’energia e prevenirne gli sprechi. Soprattutto negli edifici residenziali, questo caso è stato visto molto. In questo progetto abbiamo studiato il bilancio energetico e l’efficienza energetica. Pertanto, è stato selezionato un edificio di 6 piani con 12 appartamenti nella città del Cairo. Dopo aver modellato l'edificio in IESVI e prestando attenzione alle sue diverse parti come pareti e finestre interne ed esterne, abbiamo analizzato l'edificio. Abbiamo capito che fa troppo caldo d'estate e troppo freddo d'inverno, l'unica cosa che si nota è che fa troppo caldo d'estate e troppo freddo d'inverno: la ventilazione non è sufficiente in estate (ma non possiamo ragionevolmente avere molto più di 6.0 ACH) ed è troppa in inverno. La prima cosa che possiamo fare è sfumare i guadagni in un periodo molto lungo, ad esempio da aprile a ottobre. Il secondo è avere una ventilazione minore da novembre a marzo. Il terzo è isolare un po' di più il tetto e le pareti ed eventualmente scegliere il doppio vetro.
