With growing environmental concerns surrounding fossil fuel-powered vehicles, researchers have explored the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles as a mean to reduce carbon emissions. However, this transition has led to a higher consumption of batteries and an increase in battery waste. While end-of-life electric vehicle batteries are typically recycled, the rising demand for electric vehicles has driven the need to find alternative uses for these batteries before they are discarded. The concept of second-life battery applications has emerged as a promising solution to extend battery lifespan, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization. As a relatively new field of research, second-life battery technology presents both opportunities and challenges, making it an important area for further investigation.

Abstract
With growing environmental concerns surrounding fossil fuel-powered vehicles, researchers have explored the adoption of electric and hybrid vehicles as a mean to reduce carbon emissions. However, this transition has led to a higher consumption of batteries and an increase in battery waste. While end-of-life electric vehicle batteries are typically recycled, the rising demand for electric vehicles has driven the need to find alternative uses for these batteries before they are discarded. The concept of second-life battery applications has emerged as a promising solution to extend battery lifespan, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization. As a relatively new field of research, second-life battery technology presents both opportunities and challenges, making it an important area for further investigation.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
