ABSTRACT It is an indisputable fact that increasing market share or even surviving in the market is getting really difficult for the companies all around the world. Therefore, companies should be more effective day by day so as to adapt to this kind of competition by using the methods which eliminates their missing points and provides continuous improvement. An important and profitable one of this methods is Six Sigma which was found by Motorola and still is being used by many companies all over the world. Just like the other methods, Six Sigma needs some points to be taken consideration in for the success. They are called Six Sigma critical success factors. Subsequent to a Six Sigma overview, Six Sigma critical success factors from several researches have been examined and it was realised that organizational issues are the majority part of all issues. Thus, the organizational issues have been decided to be analyzed in a detailed way. With this purpose, two types of analysis have been prepared. First one is the qualitative analysis by the help of which the organizational issues to be paid attention in Six Sigma organizations have been determined with respect to the top managers of 13 successful companies. Second one is the quantitative analysis by the help of which the the importance degree and the application degree of organisational issues in Six Sigma organizations with respect to the project team performing in different sub-groups of a successful company are researched. Thanks to both analyses, a comprehensive assessment about organizational issues affecting Six Sigma applications which can be given reccommendations to Six Sigma companies and which can be taken sample by them has been carried out in a successful way.
