To complement the literature review, a data-driven analysis was conducted using data from Crunchbase, company websites, social media platforms, proprietary datasets, enriched with qualitative insights gathered from secondary data such as interviews and podcasts. The findings suggest that only those BNPL providers who prioritize cross-sell other financial services , and responsible risk management are likely to thrive in the long term. The BNPL model may well evolve into a more niche offering, serving specific segments of the market under stricter guidelines.
