Abstract
Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle states that it is not possible to know exactly and simultaneously both the position and velocity of a particle, the constituent of matter. By elevating indeterminacy to the notion of the Contemporary, one can understand how extremely labile and elusive it is. Since this notion modifies the present, as soon as its theorization occurs, it is already obsolete given the quality of continuous becoming inherent in the Contemporary. The Bestiary is a representation of the concepts introduced by the contemporary that seeks to put ground rules on the epistemological crises that have occurred in this era, creating new categories in which the new “beasts” can relate to the present day. Through the Foucauldian method of analysis, the meaning of neologisms used in the theoretical field is investigated, but they, despite being current, have different times of conception. The investigation takes place through the genealogy of vision whereby man, through actual monsters, created bestiaries to explain, with allegories, what was incomprehensible at the time. Imagery was vital so that the illiterate population would fully understand the meaning intended to be conveyed. Subsequently, a rotation occurs whereby an exchange occurs between image and language in which depictions of beasts give way to speech. Thus a transdisciplinary innovation with a contemporary slant takes place whereby the construction of words derives from the imagination. How much, however, is left to the imagination and how much is actually tangible? The concept of the order of representation intersects many disciplines, but as of today many “beast” words need to be contextualized within the contemporary, so different themes will be addressed in which such new concepts are contextualized and how they relate to the project.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
