On the surface : la tua piattaforma sull'arte urbana

This thesis project aims to explore the potential for neighborhood transformation through urban art. The analysis focuses on the phenomenon as it unfolds in the city of Milan, with two case studies: Corba and Gallaratese. Through a comparative analysis with similar developments in Milan and across Europe, a questionnaire, and interviews with experts in the field, the project takes shape in a digital platform designed to map the transformation of urban areas through urban art. This platform also serves as a digital archive and a potential incubator for processes that materialize in the physical territory, investigating the activities generated by mural production. The goal is therefore to provide a mapping product, a digital archive, and a mapping of the processes of urban art.

Questo progetto di tesi intende esplorare la possibilità di trasformazione di un quartiere tramite la urban art. L’ambito di analisi riguarda il fenomeno attivo sul territorio milanese e analizza due casi studio presenti in città: Corba e Gallaratese. Attraverso un’analisi comparata con altri sviluppi simili avvenuti in ambito meneghino ed europeo, un questionario e l’intervista ad esperti del settore, il progetto si esplica in una piattaforma digitale che vuole mappare la trasformazione del territorio tramite la urban art. La stessa piattaforma può fungere da archivio digitale e da possibile incubatore di processi che poi si esplicano sul territorio, indagando le attività che genera la produzione murale. L’obiettivo è dunque una mappatura, un archivio digitale e una mappatura dei processi di arte urbana.
