Refunctioning, which took place between the 16th and 18th centuries in Europe through the transformation of palaces into museums, made these buildings accessible to all segments of society. Today, in line with the decisions of international organizations established to preserve industrial facilities, the registration, preservation, and adaptive reuse of their structures as industrial heritage have become important topics. By offering new uses for the historical industrial buildings, past culture, social values, and architectural features are carried forward into the present, preserving the city's identity and ensuring both economic and cultural continuity. In this study, the current status of the Haydarpasa Agricultural Silos in the Kadıköy district of Istanbul, which were once used as a wheat storage facility but have since become disused, has been examined, also in light of local and international examples. Physical, economic, and social conditions of the area in which the building is located will be considered, as well as the possible functions to reintegrate the structure into the urban identity with a sustainable approach.
