This document presents the outcomes of an internship carried out within the Frog Data team at Capgemini Invent. The objective of this work was twofold: on the one hand, to contribute directly to client missions through the delivery of operational outputs, on the other hand, to acquire and strengthen consulting skills relevant for a future career in this field. In this report, I will address the following question: In what ways did the missions allow a junior consultant to generate direct value for clients while simultaneously developing their consulting skills? In this approach, I will first present the context of the company where I worked, then I will talk about my assignments and mention my operational impact on the company. I will mention the direct qualities I acquired as a result of these assignments and how I acquired them. Finally, I will give my direct feedback on this experience. In line with this structure, my internship was articulated around several projects of different natures, each illustrating both my contribution to client value creation and the progressive acquisition of consulting skills. The first project involved rethinking the customer experience strategy of a telecommunications company operating in Europe and Africa, where contributions were made to two major areas of work. The second project focused on testing an AI-based recruitment tool aimed at improving the efficiency and reliability of hiring processes. In addition, participation in internal projects helped develop the technical expertise, business development knowledge, and interpersonal skills essential to the role of consultant. This experience gave me the opportunity to develop my consulting posture, acquire practical skills that will be transferable to future projects, and better understand how strategy and digital transformation assignments are carried out in practice.
Questo documento presenta i risultati di uno stage svolto all’interno del team Frog Data di Capgemini Invent. L’obiettivo di questo lavoro era duplice: da un lato contribuire direttamente alle missioni per i clienti attraverso la consegna di output operativi, dall’altro acquisire e rafforzare competenze di consulenza rilevanti per una futura carriera in questo campo. In questo rapporto affronterò la seguente domanda: in che modo le missioni hanno permesso a un consulente junior di generare valore diretto per i clienti sviluppando allo stesso tempo le proprie competenze di consulenza? In quest’ottica, presenterò innanzitutto il contesto dell’azienda in cui ho lavorato, poi parlerò dei miei incarichi e menzionerò il mio impatto operativo sull’azienda. Indicherò le qualità che ho acquisito grazie a questi incarichi e come le ho sviluppate. Infine, fornirò il mio feedback diretto su questa esperienza. In linea con questa struttura, il mio stage si è articolato attorno a diversi progetti di natura differente, ciascuno dei quali illustra sia il mio contributo alla creazione di valore per i clienti, sia la progressiva acquisizione di competenze di consulenza. Il primo progetto ha riguardato la ridefinizione della strategia di customer experience di un’azienda di telecomunicazioni operante in Europa e in Africa, con contributi in due aree principali di lavoro. Il secondo progetto si è concentrato sul test di uno strumento di reclutamento basato sull’intelligenza artificiale volto a migliorare l’efficienza e l’affidabilità dei processi di assunzione. Inoltre, la partecipazione a progetti interni ha contribuito allo sviluppo di competenze tecniche, conoscenze di business development e abilità interpersonali essenziali per il ruolo di consulente. Questa esperienza mi ha dato l’opportunità di sviluppare la mia postura consulenziale, acquisire competenze pratiche trasferibili a futuri progetti e comprendere meglio come vengono realizzati in pratica gli incarichi di strategia e trasformazione digitale.
