Emotions are a pervasive component of experience: they guide perception and decision-making, shape interactions, and influence practices in life and work contexts. This thesis examines the role of communication design in supporting emotional literacy and regulation, with the aim of defining design criteria that can facilitate the recognition of affective states, their naming and situated reflection, translating a multidisciplinary theoretical framework into operational guidelines for organisational contexts. The methodological approach integrates a review of the literature on emotion models and emotional skills with qualitative research carried out in professional environments. The analysis guided the formulation of design principles focused on cognitive accessibility, terminological consistency, and alignment between what the interface requires and what is feasible for the user in a work context. The risks of information overload, the implications of perceived privacy, and the conditions of use that promote continuity and adoption were evaluated. Atlas is the result of conceptual synthesis and empirical comparison. It is a system that includes an application and other artefacts, designed as a tool for guidance in the emotional world. Atlas offers short, contextualised check-ins, suggests guided micro-practices and provides readable visualisations of progress over time. It adopts a respectful tone, encourages self-description and highlights patterns that are useful for awareness. The thesis is divided into three parts: reconstruction of the theoretical framework; translation into criteria for communications and interfaces that support awareness and regulation; presentation of the Atlas concept with usage logic and main design decisions. The expected contribution is an operational bridge between knowledge and practice, capable of transforming emotional abstraction into applicable and conscious experience in organisational contexts.

Abstract
The expected contribution is an operational bridge between knowledge and practice, capable of transforming emotional abstraction into applicable and conscious experience in organisational contexts.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
