As one of the countries with the richest architectural heritage, Italy has seen the layered accumulation of urban context and urban structure, forming historical strata as rich as a "palimpsest". Drawing on the metaphor of "palimpsest" from Italian heritage conservation theory, this paper explores issues such as the application of the "stratification" concept in the palimpsest to Italian architectural heritage conservation, the manifestation of the resilience and continuity of architectural heritage in practical cases, and how concepts and methods in architectural design are presented in architectural heritage projects. Through methods including extensive literature review, comparative analysis of practical cases, and on-site surveys, the study summarizes three "rewriting" strategies: stratified "rewriting", flexible "rewriting", and logical "rewriting". On this basis, it conducts design practice for the conservation and utilization of architectural heritage in the Citadel site and the St. Paul on the Bank of the Arno site in Pisa, Italy.
Italia, uno dei paesi con il più ricco patrimonio architettonico al mondo, ha visto l’accumulo stratificato del contesto urbano e della struttura urbana, formando strati storici ricchi come un "palinsesto". Questo articolo, attingendo alla metafora del "palinsesto" dalla teoria italiana sulla conservazione del patrimonio, esplora questioni come l’applicazione del concetto di "stratificazione" nel palinsesto alla conservazione del patrimonio architettonico italiano, la manifestazione della resilienza e continuità del patrimonio architettonico nei casi pratici, e come i concetti e i metodi del design architettonico si presentino nei progetti di patrimonio architettonico. Attraverso metodi come la revisione estensiva di letteratura, l’analisi comparativa di casi pratici e le indagini sul campo, lo studio sintetizza tre strategie di "riscrittura": la "riscrittura" stratificata, la "riscrittura" flessibile e la "riscrittura" logica. Sulla base di queste, svolge una pratica progettuale per la conservazione e l’utilizzo del patrimonio architettonico nei siti di Citadel e di San Paolo sul lungarno dell’Arno a Pisa, Italia.
