Creativity in organizations has become a central capability for competitiveness and long-term survival. This study examines how an avant-garde restaurant in the Basque Country transforms creative practices into an enduring organizational capability. Creativity is treated not as an individual act but as a collective and systemic process that can be shaped through the interplay of people, place, time and process. Using a qualitative approach based on semi-structured interviews, document analysis and a review of relevant theories, the research connects empirical findings with frameworks such as design thinking, open innovation and dynamic capabilities. The analysis shows that the restaurant operates as a creative ecosystem in which four interdependent dimensions interact to balance exploration and exploitation. Institutional arrangements, such as a recurring research period and a collective process for choosing seasonal themes, enables continuous reinvention while preserving a coherent identity. This study contributes to the literature on organizational creativity by offering an integrative model that highlights the spatial and temporal mechanisms through which creative organizations sustain novelty. The findings provide practical and theoretical insights for other creative sectors seeking to design environments and routines that support long-term innovation.

Abstract
The findings provide practical and theoretical insights for other creative sectors seeking to design environments and routines that support long-term innovation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
