This thesis investigates the relationship between design and childhood from a pedagogical, scientific, and design perspective. Interest in this relationship developed during the experience at the Junior Lab of the ADI Design Museum, a context in which it was possible to experience, for the first time, a dialogue between design dynamics and those of early childhood education. Throughout the process, the investigation developed along two complementary lines: on the one hand, the theoretical study of pedagogical and methodological approaches related to children's design, and on the other, an empirical study through experience and direct and comparative observation of various workshops in the city of Milan. The exploration, which therefore focused on children's design workshops, led to the definition of a personal categorization of these workshops as FOR KIDS, BY KIDS, and WITH KIDS, based on the recognition of key recurring factors that determine their differences. Considering the contemporary context, dominated by the pervasive presence of digital technology, research has inevitably also addressed its role in learning and design processes, exploring its potential to mediate play and educational experiences. From these reflections, Play Design Hub was born, a product-system aimed at creating collaborative play-pedagogical design experiences, capable of stimulating children's design potential through the integration of technology and artificial intelligence as tools for stimulation and co-creation.

Abstract
From these reflections, Play Design Hub was born, a product-system aimed at creating collaborative play-pedagogical design experiences, capable of stimulating children's design potential through the integration of technology and artificial intelligence as tools for stimulation and co-creation.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
