In space applications, the study of Al2O3 film aging due to strong temperature gradients is of primary importance. This work focuses on the analysis of the drift of the elastic properties, specifically the Young modulus and the Poisson ratio, of a thin Al2O3 film deposited by Pulsed Laser Deposition technique, PLD. These properties are probed before and after a Thermal Vacuum test, T-VAC, by the use of a non-destructive innovative method: the Brillouin Light Scattering spectroscopy, BLS. The data acquired are investigated by the Analysis of Variance, ANOVA, in search of differences induced by the test. The ANOVA has shown positive result on the Poisson ratio, non-significant deviation has been assessed between the pre and post T-VAC data. A significant result has been obtained for the Young modulus, where a deviation has been detected.

Abstract
A significant result has been obtained for the Young modulus, where a deviation has been detected.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
