In a Europe aimed at decarbonisation and the use of renewable energy sources in the next coming years, this work of thesis intends to test the CosMO-WF (Cost Model for Wind Farms) in order to identify strategies for the design of offshore wind farm in different scenarios. Starting from a previous analysis conducted on the west cost of Portugal other two sites will be considered: "Wikinger" which is a farm situated in the Baltic Sea of Germany and a project of a farm in the Mediterranean Sea of Sicily called "Med Wind". In this work different optimization simulation will be performed with the objective of finding the farm configuration that allows to minimize a specific cost index called LCOE (Levelized Cost of Energy). During these tests some modifications in terms of design parameters and design constraints will be introduced to observe how they influence the final results. The final values obtained for each case will be compared with values obtained in other studies to certify the reliability of the cost model

Abstract
The final values obtained for each case will be compared with values obtained in other studies to certify the reliability of the cost model| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
