In contemporary organizational contexts, the transition toward regenerative sustainability has shifted from a moral aspiration to a structural imperative. Despite this shift, a persistent gap remains between strategic sustainability intent and its organizational operability. This research examines how sustainability principles, with particular attention to Doughnut Economics, can be translated into measurable and governable systemic capabilities within the complex environment of omnichannel luxury retail. Adopting a Design Science Research (DSR) framework, the study develops an auditable methodological approach for managing the transition from empirical analysis to structural design. To ensure the analytical rigor and traceability, the Double Diamond governance mechanism is applied to constrain the analytical phases, thereby maintaining the traceability between each component of the design and the associated evidence. The Stella McCartney brand is chosen as the inquiry platform to investigate the disconnect between a leading sustainability-oriented brand identity and the associated infrastructures. The research makes three interrelated contributions. First, this research suggests a staged auditable protocol for case-based design science research that preserves the distinction between analysis and design. Second, this research operationalizes doughnut economics by translating it into a logic of readiness preconditions. Third, this research offers case-based insights into a dual-speed configuration in a leading luxury brand.

Abstract
Third, this research offers case-based insights into a dual-speed configuration in a leading luxury brand.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
