This thesis explores the site of Ronchamp, on the Bourlémont hill, as a complex system where architecture, landscape and spirituality intertwine within a layered balance. The research is organized into three main sections: stratification, plurality and mending. Stratification is approached through a backward reading of the site. It begins with a need identified within the system of the Monastery of the Poor Clares designed by Renzo Piano (2011). The design of a greenhouse, developed during the Arte del Costruire laboratory, emerges as a response to this gap and becomes a critical tool to reinterpret the site in its contemporary condition. From this point, the analysis moves back to Piano’s intervention, to the Chapelle Notre-Dame-du-Haut by Le Corbusier (1955), and further to the deeper historical and sacred layers of the hill, presenting Ronchamp as a palimpsest in constant transformation. The theme of plurality examines the coexistence of spiritual, cultural and touristic uses through site visits, interviews and direct observation. This investigation highlights specific issues related to the clarity of access points, the management of visitor flows and the presence of temporary elements that are not always consistent with the identity of the place. Finally, mending represents the outcome of the research: a project proposal aimed at strengthening existing connections and identifying a focal point capable of organizing the latent potential of the hill, enhancing its coherence without altering its original balance.

Abstract
Finally, mending represents the outcome of the research: a project proposal aimed at strengthening existing connections and identifying a focal point capable of organizing the latent potential of the hill, enhancing its coherence without altering its original balance.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
