The growing attention towards social and environmental sustainability made big international events an important stage to analyze the approach of multinational companies toward this theme, due to the high mediatic visibility and the economic, social and environmental impact they can generate. This thesis explores the role of companies in managing sustainability during Mega Events, where all the risks and benefts are amplifed, with particular attention to the case study of the Coca-Cola approach towards the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Games. The main goal is to understand how sustainability is not only an ethical or legislative duty but also an important occasion of strategic innovation, reputation and alignment between actors, and how this collaboration, if supported correctly, can be a concrete opportunity also for the company itself. The research analyzes the different actors involved and how the companies play a key role in supporting and managing events, highlighting all the possible issues to which they are exposed, from the risk of greenwashing to the economic and social impacts, waste production and CO2 emissions. It also shows the possible strategies to adopt to mitigate them and maximize the positive impact on events, like the importance of transparency, reporting, involvement of stakeholders and promotion of responsible governance and projects. Practical evidence is the collaboration between Coca-Cola and the Milano Cortina Olympic Games, where the worldwide famous company, aware of the possible risks and opportunity of participating as an ofcial partner to Olympic Games’ big stage, demonstrates with its sustainable activities how to give importance to this theme, not only as an occasion for greater visibility but also as an opportunity for internal growth based on positive values and impacts.

Abstract
Practical evidence is the collaboration between Coca-Cola and the Milano Cortina Olympic Games, where the worldwide famous company, aware of the possible risks and opportunity of participating as an ofcial partner to Olympic Games’ big stage, demonstrates with its sustainable activities how to give importance to this theme, not only as an occasion for greater visibility but also as an opportunity for internal growth based on positive values and impacts.| File | Dimensione | Formato | |
